Beate Hanika

Professional activity

After entering the legal profession in a general civil law firm in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Beate Hanika soon discovered her enthusiasm for intellectual property and the "trademark world". From 1998 - 2000, in the Nuremberg office of a patent law firm with offices throughout Germany, the foundation was laid for what has since become extensive and long-standing experience in the field of intellectual property rights. From 2000 onwards, she worked for a law firm in Munich specializing in intellectual property rights. Here, not only the legal expertise, but also the pleasure in dealing with clients of various industries and sizes and the associated versatility shaped her enjoyment of the profession.

Areas of expertise

  • Trademark, design, domain and competition law
  • Development and maintenance of trademark portfolios
  • Drafting of contracts
  • Warning letters, litigation in trademark infringement cases
  • Defense of intellectual property rights against attacks by third parties

Persistent strategist

Beate Hanika particularly enjoys gaining insights into a wide variety of business sectors and putting herself in their shoes in order to develop the best possible strategies for protecting their trademarks and designs. This also includes finding the most pragmatic solutions possible in the event of a dispute.
In her private life she loves the mountains and related sports activities such as mountain biking, hiking or skiing. These not only serve as a balance to "office work", but also parallel the stamina required in the job and also often give rise to good ideas that can then be implemented at the desk.
