Press release

Keller & Partner Patentanwälte AG and Schneider Feldmann AG Patent- und Markenanwälte on the way to Keller Schneider Patent- & Markenanwälte AG.

In order to provide companies with even better support in protecting their intellectual property in the future, the two Swiss law firms Keller & Partner Patentanwälte AG and Schneider Feldmann AG are aiming for a merger. As part of a close cooperation, they have been operating jointly under the name Keller Schneider Patent- und Markenanwälte since mid-September. With the upcoming merger, Keller Schneider will become one of the largest law firms in Switzerland.

Together with K&P Patentanwaltsgesellschaft mbH, which is part of the group, the successful law firms at the locations in Bern, Zurich, Winterthur, Munich and Mindelheim combine their diverse know-how and, with a team of a total of 19 patent and trademark attorneys, form a real force in the field of intellectual property. They can offer legal support for Switzerland, Germany and Europe from a single source. Keller Schneider's approach is to advise clients from an entrepreneurial perspective with security, competence and trust, and to increase the long-term value and success of their clients through the protection of intellectual property and optimized IP strategies.

Broad expertise helps clients succeed

Keller Schneider's patent attorneys are experts in numerous fields due to their university degree in a scientific or technical subject and possess a high level of competence in various specialist areas. Thanks to many years of mandates, they have acquired additional specialized knowledge in various industries such as chemistry, biotechnology, ICT, electrical engineering or mechanical and plant engineering and can therefore correctly classify the problems and challenges facing their clients today and offer practical solutions.

At Keller Schneider, the experienced trademark attorneys not only research trademarks nationally and internationally for their clients - whether there is similarity or identity, for example - but also monitor trademarks fully electronically in selected countries.

The experienced trademark and patent attorneys file patent, trademark and design applications with national offices worldwide, handle all registration formalities as well as office actions in the examination process and, if necessary, represent their clients' intellectual property before the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property (IGE), the German Patent and Trademark Office (DPMA), the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the European Patent Office (EPO) and the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO).

Holistic approach in the focus of work

The merger will result in numerous advantages for clients, as the combined expertise in the field of trademarks, designs, licenses and patents and the international focus will enable the respective challenges to be handled even more efficiently and effectively. At Keller Schneider, the high level of expertise means that clients receive holistic support and comprehensive advice, both in the classic IP protection rights of patents, designs and trademarks and in relation to "IP contracts" such as licensing and development cooperation agreements.

The goal of Keller Schneider's work is always to provide clients not only with legal building blocks, but also with solutions for entrepreneurial tasks and special challenges. In the new formation, Keller Schneider's attorneys implement this with greater clout to achieve success for their clients.
